Ramban: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mussarat Islam on Saturday inaugurated the Sanasar-Patnitop ‘Winter Bonanza 2022’, a cultural event organized by the Tourism Department Jammu in collaboration with Patnitop Development Authority, District Administration Ramban&Udhampur to promote tourism in Patnitop and its surrounding areas.
Among others BDC, Chairman Batote, RajeshwarBhagat; BDC Chairman, Chenani Parkash Chand; Jt. Director, Tourism, Jammu, Sunaina Sharma; CEO, PDA, Thakur Sher Singh; SDM Chenani, ParvaizNaik and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion. The event witnessed a huge footfall of visitors who visited Sanasar and Patnitop to celebrate the New Year.
The main attraction of the programme was the thrilling performance by renowned Punjabi singers Rohanpreet and Dogri singer ChamanLehri.
A large number of tourists from all over India thronged the Padoora area at Patnitop and enjoyed the activities organized by the departments at the mega event of winter show and “Bid adieu to 2022 & Welcome to 2023”. Tourists were enthralled by the musical performances.
The event coincided with the New Year celebrations amid snowfall season at Patnitop which is a major attraction for the tourists. The event was a confluence of local Dogri art, ethnic cuisines, cultural performances, and adventure activities to engage the tourists and showcase indigenous culture with other engaging activities during the celebrations.
The festival was a major attraction for the tourists who visited Patnitop and enjoyed the beautiful locations with the Dance, Music, Adventure and Food fest.
The tourists appreciated the efforts of the Tourism Department by organizing tourism activities in the region and making elaborate arrangements for the celebration of the New Year at Patnitop.
