DC Hamid approves & recommends cases worth 5.45 Cr under YuvaSahakar& 2 NHBM cases for self-employment

Budgam: A District Level Committee headed by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, S F Hamid on Saturday approved 6 cases for self-employment under NCDC Central Loan Scheme of YuvaSahakar and under NHBM scheme during a meeting held at Conference Hall, here.
While reviewing implementing and monitoring of NCDC Central Loan scheme, the committee gave approvals to all four proposals received from department of Cooperative Societies Budgam and it was decided to forward the four proposals to the Registrar Cooperative Societies J&K for consideration/sanctioning of the financial assistance under NCDC central loan scheme.
The proposals include, Rs. 300 lacs, The Gulshan Dairy Cooperative Society Ltd. Chadoora, Rs 60 lacs, The Prime Dairy Cooperative Society Ltd. Chadoora, Rs 45 lac, The Tosmaidan Farmer Producer Organisation Cooperative Ltd. Drang, Khag and The Primary Women’s Pashmeena Cooperative Society Ltd. Pymus at the cost of Rs 40 lacs.
Stressing on the awareness and training of unemployed youth under various self employment schemes, the DC said that proper hand holding and assistance to the youth will make this District as RogzarYuktBudgam.
He said that sanctioning these cases would not only boost the cooperative sector in the district but also ensure significant employment opportunities to hundreds of unemployed.
At the outset, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies, briefed the meeting about the NCDC Central Loan Scheme of YuvaSahakar and informed that these proposals have been technically vetted by concerned departments.
In a separate meeting, DLC gave approval for two cases received under NHBM Scheme.
The Projects under NBHM are funded by National Bee Board on 90:10 Centre: Farmer share basis. The Custom Hiring Centre (Rs.75.00 Lacs Project) will possess 1000 Honey Bee Colonies for assisted pollination to boost the quality and quantity of Agricultural and Horticultural produce besides infra-structural facilities of equipment required for the production of export quality honey, bee venom, propolis, royal jelly, bee wax, comb honey, etc.
Likewise, the Manufacturing Unit for Beekeeping Equipment (Rs. 25.00 Lacs Project) will generate employment avenues and doorstep availability of Beekeeping Equipment for potential Beekeepers of Budgam.
Chief Agriculture Officer, Budgam said that the Projects will serve as a backbone for employment generation and platform for progressive bee keepers of the District to develop as Agritech entrepreneurs.
The meeting was attended by the General Manager, DIC Budgam, Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, , Chief Sheep Husbandry Officer, District Social Welfare Officer, Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies and Assistant Director Tourism, Budgam.
