Bandipora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr.Owais Ahmed on Friday visited Arin, Sumlar and other adjacent areas to inspect Snow clearance operations in the area besides availability of essential commodities and services.
On the occasion, the DC interacted with the public at various places and heard their grievances, besides passing on spot directions for redressal of public grievances.
He took feedback from elected representatives and the general public regarding the post Snow situation and availability of essentials.
While interacting with general public, Dr.Owais said that District Bandipora has enough men and machinery to tackle any situation besides having sufficient stock of all essentials in the district including LPG, ration and medicines etc
He said that the control room is also functional at District Headquarter to ensure round-the-clock monitoring of the situation to deal with emergencies besides maintaining vigil and close coordination.
The DC said the District Administration is ready to tackle any situation arising due to the spell of snowfall.
He said all the roads have been cleared and all the departments are working on a war footing basis to provide services to the general public.
Dr.Owais directed the officers to be active and ensure that every basic facility is provided to the public.
He also asked the officers to remain present and personally monitor the field functionaries so that people do not face any inconveniences.
The DC was accompanied by DDC member Arin, Ex. Engineer R&B, Jal Shakti and Officers from Mechanical Engineering and other concerned Departments.
