Anantnag: Taking cognizance of the fire incident at MehmanMohallaAnantnag that occurred on the intervening night of 29th and 30th of December and engulfed 6 residential houses and 3 commercial properties, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Basharat Friday sanctioned immediate relief to the affected families.
The DC sanctioned relief to the tune of Rs 25000 each to the six families whose residential houses were gutted in the incident. It is in place to mention that the relief was sanctioned and disbursed in less than 12 hours of the incident taking place.
Further, directions were issued to provide other necessary supplies in view of the cold climatic conditions.
The DC appealed all to follow necessary precautions to avert such incidents in the future.
