DC Kishtwar visits Bait-ul-Hilal Children’s Home, Ashiana Boys Hostel

Bedding, kitchen material donated to inmates; People urged to contribute generously for the noble cause
Kishtwar : As a Good will initiative on the part of the district administration, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadavon Thursday visited Bait-ul-Hilal orphanage &Ashiana Boys Hostel and donated daily utility items like bedding and Kitchen the inmates.
District Social Welfare Officer Zubair Ahmed Lone; District Accounts Officer, Imran Ahmed Kichloo; District Youth Services & Sports Officer, KharatiLal Sharma accompanied the DC during the visit to the twin facilities.
The DDC interacted with the inmates and enquired about the facilities being provided to them.
The students shared their ideas and showcased their talent by presenting different co-curricular activities.
The District Development Commissioner, the chief guest, in his speech at both places said that these children occupy a special place in our hearts and efforts should be made to make their lives better. He said that ensuring better facilities to these children should be the top priority of the Bait-ul-Hilal management and Ashiana Boys Hostel together by availing the Government’s initiatives through Social welfare and the allied Departments’ Schemes.
He donated bedding and kitchen material among the inmates at both orphanages and appealed to people in general to come forward and contribute generously for this noble cause and well-being of this section of society.
Reviewing the facilities being provided to these children in the twin institutions, the District Development Commissioner praised the concerned NGOs for providing inmates quality food and education.
At Bait-ul-Hilal, the Bait-ul-Hilal J&K Yateem Foundation unit Kishtwar provided Sewing Machines to poor and orphan girls.
Speaking on the occasion, JavedIqbalKripak, Chairman of Bait-ul-Hilal Children’s Home Kishtwar, highlighted the aims and objectives of the organization and requested for upliftment of the orphans residing in different Children homes of the Kishtwar.
Momentos were presented by the Chairman to the Chief Guest and Guest of Honours.
The calendar 2023 of J&K Yateem foundation was also released by the DC Kishtwar in presence of other guests, including District President of JKYF, Ghulam Abbas Waza, Mohd Iqbal Kelam, Ghulam Mohammad Malik and AsgerHussainIshrat- all senior members of J & K Yateem Foundation.
Vote of thanks was presented by Gh Mohammad Malik and anchoring was performed by Syed Asma- teacher of Al-Hilal educational Institute.
Among others present were beneficiaries, VTC trainer, VTC trainees and teaching and non teaching staff members of the AHEI and Bait-ulHilal children’s home Kishtwar.
At Ashiana Boys Hostel, the DC also took stock of boarding and educational facilities being provided to inmates and praised the management for providing quality facilities.
The President Ashiana Boys Hostel Sanjeev Parihar and Vice President Advocate Kuldeep Sharma thanked DC Kishtwar for showing keen concern towards fulfilling the needs of orphans and making contribution towards their cause.
