ADDC Jmu reviews performance of Banks at DLRC meeting

Jammu: Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Chanderon Tuesday chaired the District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC) meetings to review the performance of banks for the 2nd quarter ending September 2022.
The ADDC exhorted the banks and the line departments to maintain coordination and clear communication to achieve the allotted targets and enhance their respective achievements.
He also instructed the stakeholders to submit the Action Taken Report on the decisions taken in the last DLRC meeting with clear observations and reasons for failed targets and achievements, if any.
It was informed that Jammu district recorded 35.12% CD Ratio which is 1% higher as compared to quarter-ending June 2022 based on credit growth on quarter-to-quarter basis.
The meeting deliberated on the bank-wise performances under Priority and Non-Priority sectors and sub-sectors.
Under priority sector an amount of Rs .2396.29 crore and under non-priority sector Rs.3159.35 crore have been disbursed till quarter-ending Sept. 2022, the meeting was told.
The meeting also reviewed the performances of banks under Government Sponsored Schemes, including PradhanMantri Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Kisan Credit Card (KCC), MUDRA, Stand-Up India, PM SVANidhi, National Rural Livelihood Mission (NRLM), National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM), PradhanMantri Formalization of Micro Enterprises (PMFME) and Social Security Schemes like PradhanMantriJeevanJyotiBimaYojana (PMJJBY), PradhanMantriSurakshaBimaYojana (PMSBY) and Atal Pension Yojana (APY). Financial Literacy Initiatives were also discussed in the meeting.
Lead District Manager, Jammu Vijay Bhardwaj called for improving the CD ratio of district in next Quarter and urged the banks to make concerted efforts for the same.
Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Jammu, District Sheep Officer Jammu, Asstt. Project Manager JUDA, Assistant Director Handicraft & Handloom Jammu, and officials of other departments and banks including, SBI, J&K, PNB, JKGB, EDB, BOI, CBI CANARA Bank, BOI, UCO, IOB , Bank and others attended the meeting.
