5th Day of 18th Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament: 6 matches played at 2 venues in Srinagar

Srinagar: On the 5th day of the 18th Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police, 3 matches were played at TRC Football Ground Srinagar and 3 matches were played at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar.
According to statement issued from ADGP Armed Police Headquarters, Srinagar here, One of the Matches started at 1400 hrs between FC-1 VS Zone Hajin at Synthetic Turf TRC Sgr. in presence of ChanderJeet Singh, Dy.CO IRP 17th Bn. FC-1 won the match by 9:0 goals. The goals were scored by Furkan Shafi jersey No.24, Hazim Nabi jersey No.20, Hayat Bashir jersey No.30 (3 goals) and Aqib Mushtaq jersey No.27 (4 goals). The Man of the Match was awarded to Hayat Bashir jersey No.30 of Winning Team for his excellent performance.
The Pre-Quarter Final started at 1100 hrs between Kashmir Maharaja Sports and State Sports Council at Bakshi Stadium Srinaga. in presence of Mir Rasheek, Dy.CO IRP 3rd Bn. Kashmir Maharaja Sports won the match by 3:0. The goals were scored by Rayees Ahmad jersey No.10, Asrar Ahmad jersey No.09 and Shariq Ahmad jersey No.16. The man of the Match was awarded to Asrar Ahmad jersey No.09 for his best performance.
The 7th Pre-Quarter Final started at 1230 hrs between J&K Police XI VS Kashmir United at Synthetic Turf TRC Srinagar in presence of Naresh Singh, Dy. CO IRP 13th Bn. J&K Police XI won the match by 1:0. The lone goal was scored by Kamran Hameed jersey No.10 and man of the match was awarded to him for his excellent performance in the match.
The 8th Pre-Quarter Final started at 1230 hrs between ARCO FC VS Ali Jana FC at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar in presence of Javed Ahmad Dar, I/C CO IRP 21st Bn. ARCO FC won the match by 4:2 via tie breaker. The goals were scored by Itifaq Azad jersey No.10, Umar Parvaiz jersey No.04, Adnan Nisar Dar jersey No.06 and Javaid Fayaz jersey No.18 and from losing team lone goals were scored by Ishfaq Ahmad jersey No.13 and Obaidullah jersey No.11. The Man of the Match was awarded to Mohd Salim Malik jersey No.99 for his excellent performance.
During the whole day, the matches were played in presence of the officers/ officials associated with the organizing of tournament who include Wasim Aslam Chairman JKFA, Prof. B.A Shah Tournament Director, Bashir Ahmed Malik President DFA Srinagar, Mohammad Shafi Nari (Retd. DySP ex-International Footballer), Nazir Ahmed Bhat HOR, Nazir Ahmed Indrabi, Latief Ahmad (Ex-International Football Player), Mohd Rafiq Maqdoomi, Zahoor Ahmad Teli (Treasurer DFA Srinagar) Showkat Masoodi Secretary DFA Srinagar and Senior Referees Muzaffer Ahamd, Farooq Shaheen and Farooq Ah Bhat. Sports Officer Kuldeep Handoo-Dy.SP (Dronacharya awardee), Sajad Hussain DySP, Inspr. Ranjeet Singh, Inspr. Nisar Ahmad Mir-I/C CST, Inspr. Mohammad Younis, Inspr. Madhupal Singh, Mohammad Hussain I/C Sports APHQ, Mushtaq Ahmad Zargar Manager Bakshi Stadium and other concerned officers.
In the concluding para of it’s statement, police said that the photo/video coverage and publicity of the event was carried out by HC Mohmmad Subhan and Sg Ct Rayees Ahmed of APHQ besides Officials of Zonal Photo Hqrs Kashmir.
