R-Day celebration: DC B’pora chairs meeting

B’pora: To review the arrangements for Republic Day (R-Day) celebrations and full dress rehearsal, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Monday chaired a meeting of concerned officers at mini secretariat, here.
The meeting discusses various measures to be taken up in view of forthcoming Republic day and various preparations to be done by departments.
The DC on the occasion directed all the concerned departments to make fool proof arrangements for R-Day celebration and Full dress rehearsal at all venues across the district.
He asked the officers to play an active role and work in coordination for the grand celebration besides making all arrangements with responsibility.
It was given out that in addition to March past by contingents of para military forces and students various cultural programmes will also be the part of celebrations and a felicitation ceremony would also be held.
The DC asked the security agencies to ensure fool proof security at all venues and also asked other concerned departments to ensure proper electricity, drinking water and all other essential facilities at all venues across the district.
Among others the meeting was attended by ADDC Bandipora, District Nodal Officer Coordination, ADC, ACR, JDP, Officers from armed forces, Executive Engineers and other concerned.
