Distt Level Dissemination Workshop on Good Governance Week held at Kishtwar

Kishtwar: District Administration Kishtwar, under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC), Dr Devansh Yadav IAS Friday conducted a District Level Dissemination workshop for the District and Sectoral officers under Good Governance week in context of the Nationwide Campaign “Prashasan Gaon ki Aur” here at Conference Hall DC Office Complex Kishtwar.
ADDC Kishtwar, Sham Lal; ADC Kishtwar, Kishori Lal Sharma; Joint Director Planning, Mohammad Iqbal; ACR, Varunjeet Singh Charak, DFOs, ACD, Atul Dutt, DPO Sunil Bhutyal, General Manager, DIC,DTO, CAO, ExEns, CEO Kishtwar, CMO Kishtwar, CAHO, CHO, ARTO, ALC, DYSSO, Principal DIET Kishtwar, NRLM officials and other District and Sectoral Officers which are operating in the District attended the workshop.
To ensure effective implementation of Good Governance across all verticals in Government establishments, the Workshop focused on covering the practices and initiatives undertaken in the District during the last five years, specifically in the field of Public Service Delivery, Health, Education, Grievance Redressal and Public Works etc besides, the success stories on 3 Key initiatives were also shared by each department.
The DDC called upon all the district and sectoral officers to undertake activities to demonstrate the government’s commitment towards providing transparent, effective and accountable governance to the people during the Good Governance Week campaign.
He informed that under Good Governance Week (Sushasan Saptah), the “Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur” campaign has been launched from 20-25 December 2021 and it aims at showcasing and replicating the best governance practices at the grassroots level. The campaign intends to create a national movement for good governance and motivate the stakeholders both in the government as well as outside the government.
In the workshop, the best performing SHGs under JKRLM were identified and the DDC asked the concerned to extend every possible help to SHGs to further improve their performance.
The modalities to benefit the students by filling learning gaps during winter vacations were also discussed with different stakeholders. The CEO and Principal DIET were asked to formulate integrated strategy for Online education by BYJUs and winter tuitions to r benefit the students.
Besides, all concerned were also asked to explore possibilities for free NEET exam preparation for students of district Kishtwar.
Meanwhile, PRATHAM NGO initiatives for class 3-8 for the last 3 years were also briefed in the workshop.
The ACD shared the success story about construction of 2.5 KM Road in Padder by villagers in convergence with MGNREGA. The story was the major highlight of the workshop.
AD Employment also briefed about the success of two key initiatives of Mission youth that is Mumkin and Tejaswini schemes, He was directed by DDC to cover the maximum number of unemployed youth of the district under initiatives like Tourist Village Scheme of Mission youth JK.
The Agriculture and Horticulture departments also shared the key achievements under the Sampan initiative.
The DDC Kishtwar called upon the concerned stakeholders to integrate the SHGs under JKRLM with Mission Youth schemes and Sampan initiative for ensuring better livelihood initiatives in the district.
The DDC Kishtwar stressed to conduct camps and events at Tehsil Headquarter/Panchayat Samitis to resolve public grievances and improve service delivery as a week-long Good Governance week celebration.
