Commissioner Secretary asked the District Development Commissioner to identify a village which could be developed as a Model Village with most of its energy needs to be met from Solar Energy.
He exhorted upon the Jammu and Kashmir Bank officers to make easy financing available to the prospective beneficiaries through Kissan Credit Cards.
Pertinently, the farmers can also set up Grid Connected Solar Power Plants in the capacity range of 0.5 MW to 2.0 MW on Barron Land banks for sale of power to DISCOMs and make an average annual earning of Rs 40 lakh per MW.
