Rajouri: Department of Mathematical Sciences, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University Rajouri celebrated on Thursday National Mathematics Day.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Centre of the University the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Akbar Masood congratulated the department for organizing the event.
The program began with a welcome address by the Head of the Department, Dr. Zaheer Abbas in which he briefly highlighted the significance of the Day. Afterward, Dr. Mehar chand(BFC) delivered a comprehensive lecture on LATEX followed by some short talks by the postgraduate students of the Department on Ramanujan and the theme “Mathematics everywhere”.
Later in the evening, prof. A.P. SINGH (Ex. Vice chancellor(incharge)) of Central University of Rajasthan ) delivered a lecture on the nice behaviour that the analytic function show.
More than 80 persons participated in various events. In contunution to the celeberation of National Mathematics Day, Prof. Zafar Ahsan (AMU) will also deliver a lecture on 24th of December, 2022. All the faculty members of the Department were also present during the proceedings of the event.
