DC, SSP listen to people’s issues at Doda Police Station

Doda: To mark Thana Diwas, Doda Police Thursday organised public hearings in all Police Stations of the District Doda to listen to the grievances of Public at P/S level besides providing Police services to needy people at their doorsteps.
A grand event of Thana Diwas was organised at Police Station Doda where Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Paul Mahajan and SSP Abdul Qayoom met with the public and listened to their issues.
The participants appreciated the efforts put in by Police and Civil administration for conducting public outreach program to listen to the grievances of people. The participant highlighted many demands and issues related to Police/ Civil administration. A patient hearing was given by DC and SSP to the grievances and demands raised by the participant and assured them that their issues/demands will be addressed on priority.
The participants were asked to cooperate and strengthen the hands of Police and Civil administration to facilitate fast track development in all sectors, besides to tighten noose around the perpetrators of Criminal activities and other evils in the society. The participants were also informed and assured that Police/ Civil administration is working in close coordination to eradicate the menace of drugs and other criminal activities in the District and stringent action wasbeing taken against the drug peddlers and others offenders found involved in anti social activities.
Among the prominent persons present on the occasion were Ved Parkash, Chairman MC Doda, Muzahir-ul-Haq Munshi, Dy. Chairman MC Doda, Ward Councilors and other prominent/elderly people of Doda town.
Similar Thana Diwas meetings were also organized at Police Station level in Bhaderwah, Gandoh, Thathri, Dessa and Assar where a number of locals attended the programme and projected their issues.
