Day 3 of Good Governance Week witnesses Array of activities across distt Kishtwar

Awareness camp held at Panchayat Ghan, Drabshalla; 1768 age certificates provided to elderly, physically handicapped persons

Kishtwar: The ‘Good Governance Week’ being celebrated with the theme ‘Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur’, is witnessing an array of activities across Kishtwar district under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Dr Devansh Yadav.
The Government Departments including Horticulture, Agriculture, Revenue, RDD, Social Welfare and Health and Family welfare and others conducted awareness programs and apprised the people about the schemes and services.
On the third day, as a part of the ongoing Good Governance week and Prashasan Gaon Ki Aur, series of Special Medical Camps were held by Department of Social Welfare in collaboration with Department of Health and Family Welfare to issue Age Certificates to Old Age/Physically Handicapped and widows required for ISSS scheme of Social Welfare Department.
As many as 1768 age Certificates were issued at different Medical camps including 325 in the BDO Office Drabshalla, 645 at village Piyakul 123 at Chatroo, 325 at Gahan Sarthal and 350 at CHC Chatroo .
An Awareness camp under Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan was organised by the Department of Social Welfare, at Panchayat Ghan of Block Drabshalla.
Meanwhile, an awareness camp under Project SAMPAN was held at Drabshalla under the management of the Nodal officer/Chief Agriculture Officer Kishtwar Amjad Hussain Malik and under the mentorship of ADDC, Sham Lal for saturation of Agriculture and Allied sector schemes through active participation of PRIs & Self Help Groups of the area.
The project SAMPAN aims for coverage of all schemes of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Floriculture, NRLM, fisheries and various other departments through awareness campaign, capacity building, skill development, soft & hard interventions.
Officers of Labour Department Kishtwar inspected Shops and Establishment at Paddar and directed the owners to register their establishments under the relevant Act.
Special cleanliness drives under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and segregation of Solid waste was also carried out by the Department of Rural Departments in various Panchayats by involving PRIs,locals and field functionaries.
