The week Block Diwas program was held at PanchayatGharSoura, Block Bhalla, Sub District Bhaderwah; Sub Divisional Headquarter at Gandoh; Middle School Ranka, Sub Division Assar; and PanchayatKansoo, Block Kahara, Sub Division Thathri.
People in large numbers attended the Block Diwas at all the four locations and projected their demands seeking up-gradation of Health and Education in the area, extension of road connectivity to uncovered habitations, augmentation of water and power facilities etc. The whole programme was held under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan. The Block Diwas mechanism has been instrumental in bridging the gap between people and administration.
During the day long Block Diwas proceedings Public and PRIs put forth a range of issues and demanded macadamisation of roads, execution of works under MGNREGA, upgradation of electric poles among others.
The Presiding officers of the Block Diwas gave a patient hearing to the issues and demands and directed the concerned officers to prepare a list of issues/grievances raised pertaining to their departments and resolve the same at an earliest.
