Rajouri: General LokAdalat pertaining to all types of cases was held Saturday here at District Court Complex Rajouri under the Chairmanship of KalpanaRevo (Principal District & Sessions Judge, Rajouri).
Two benches were constituted to hear the cases. The Bench number one was headed by KalpanaRevo (Principal District & Sessions Judge, Rajouri) assisted by ManjeetRai (Chief Judicial Magistrate, Rajouri), while Bench number 2 was headed by Mehmood Ahmad Chowdhary (Addl District and Sessions Judge, Rajouri) and assisted by MahjabeenAkhter (District Mobile Magistrate(T) Rajouri).
Similar benches were also constituted at the Tehsil Levels which were headed by the Presiding Officers of the respective Courts.
A total 613 cases both Pre-Litigation and Post-Litigation were taken up out of which 554 were disposed of.
An amount of Rs 4142287 was provided as compensation. A total no. of 10 MACT Cases were taken up and 09 were settled and the amount of Rs 3935000/-was awarded as compensation. The General LokAdalat witnessed the participation of representatives of Banks, Advocates of different Insurance companies, Bar members, PLVs, Staff members, Litigants, and a large number of people.
