422 cases settled in Samba Lok Adalat

Samba: Under the insightful directions of Justice TashiRabstan, Executive Chairman, J&K Legal Services Authority and as per the Action plan issued by the J&K Legal Services Authority for the month of December, 2022, District Legal Services Authority Samba Saturday organized General LokAdalat here in District Court Complex.
Four Benches were constituted for settling the referred cases. The Bench No.1 was comprising of Adnan Sayeed, Additional District & Sessions Judge Samba and Ajay Gupta, Panel Lawyer District Legal Services Authority, Samba; Bench No.2 was comprising of PreetSimranKour, Chief Judicial Magistrate Samba and Hitesh Sharma, Panel Advocate, District Legal Services Authority Samba; Bench No. 3 was comprising of Poonam Gupta, Munisff, Samba and Sunaina Gupta, Advocate, District Court Complex Samba; Bench No. 4 was comprising of AnantaRaina, Addl. Spl. Mobile Magistrate, Samba and RehanaTabasum, ARTO Samba. The matters placed before the Benches included Civil, Criminal Compoundable, Cheque Bounce, Bank Recovery matters, MACT, Matrimonial, Prelitigation matters, D.V. Act, Negotiable Instrument Act, 488/125Cr.Pc., and Petty Offence(s) including traffic challans. RekhaKapoorNischal, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority Samba coordinated the General LokAdalat at District Court Complex Samba.
A total number of 448 cases were taken up for their amicable settlement out of which 422 cases were settled and an amount of Rs 4061025 was realized as settlement amount. Light refreshment was also served to the litigants.
