Shopian : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, who is also District Panchayat Election Officer on Thursday, chaired a meeting of EROs and AEROs to review the preparations for Revision of Panchayat Electoral Roll. The meeting discussed various modalities for revision of Electoral roll.
The DC on the occasion instructed officials to work dedicatedly so that the final publication of the voters’ list is flawless for the upcoming elections.
He instructed the concerned to conduct revision strictly in accordance with the guidelines and complete the process within the given timelines.
He also emphasized upon the concerned to take utmost care while making the addition of new voters/left out voters.
DC stressed on timely addition of eligible voters and urged eligible voters to contact designated officials at village level to get registered in the electoral roll.
The meeting was attended by SDM Zainapora, ACD, Dy.DEO, BDOs and other concerned.
