Bandipora: Deputy commissioner Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmed who is also District Election Officer on Thursday chaired a meeting of concerned to review the preparations for Revision of Panchayat Electoral Roll.
The meeting discussed threadbare various modalities for revision of panchayat Electoral roll.
Dr. Owais on the occasion instructed officials to work in coordination so that the final publication of the voters’ list is flawless for the upcoming panchayat elections.
He directed the concerned to conduct revision strictly in accordance with the guidelines and schedule and complete the process within the given timeline.
He exhorted upon the concerned officials to take extra care while making the addition of new voters & left out voters and deletion of duplicate voters to avoid errors and completion of the process before the due date.
Dr. Owais stressed on timely addition of eligible voters and urged eligible voters to contact designated officials at village level to get registered in the electoral roll.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Bandipora Ali Afsar khan, Nodal Officer Coordination Mohammad Ashraf Hakak, DyDEOBandipora, ACR Bandipora, SDMs, BDOs and other concerned.
