Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday facilitated meetings with the next of kins of slain police personnel in Pulwama & Budgam districts and in Awantipora.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters here the meeting was chaired by DySP DAR Pulwama at District Police Lines Pulwama. In Budgam, the meeting was chaired by SSP Budgam Tahir Saleem along with DySP DAR DPL Budgam Owaise Rasheed in the conference hall of District Police Headquarters Budgam, while the meeting in Awantipora was chaired by SSP Awantipora Mohd Yousuf at District Police Lines Awantipora.
Police on this occasion also said that these meetings were attended by a large number of next of kins of slain police personnel besides, other police officers were also present in these meetings. The chairing officers paid rich tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the sake of nation. The next of kins were assured by chairing officers of every possible help and were informed about various welfare measures taken by the Police Department for the welfare of the NOKs.
During these meetings, some grievances were raised by the NOKs on which the chairing officers assured them that their grievances will be redressed on priority. They further said that slain police personnel are unforgettable members of Police Parivaar and taking care of their NOKs is the prime responsibility of police department .
