Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday said that it has solved a theft case by arresting an accused person involved in the commission of crime and also recovered stolen property in Pulwama.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar here Police said that on 7th December Police Station Litter received a written complaint from one person namely Abid Hassan Khan S/o Mohd Ahsan Khan R/o Gund Achan stating who had stated therein that his bike bearing registration No. JK13C-5721 has been stolen by some unknown person/persons from SIDCO Lassipora and police accordingly registered a case vide FIR No.115/2022 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Litter and initiated an investigation in the matter.
Stating that during the course of investigation, many suspects were called for questioning in which one person identified as Waseem Ah Rather S/o Ab Salam Rather R/o Tahab Bonegam confessed his involvement in the commission of crime following which officers investigating the case also recovered the stolen bike and the accused was subsequently arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody, Police in the concluding para of it’s statement further said that the people on this occasion appreciated the efforts made by the it for solving the case and police assured the people to act tough against the individuals involved in criminal /theft activities.
