DC Rajouri presides over public outreach camp at village Panihad on Block Diwas

DDC Rajouri asks telecom operators to improve connectivity to mitigate public issues

Rajouri : As part of Weekly Block Diwas Program,  Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, on Wednesday chaired a public outreach camp here at Panihad area of block Budhal Old and listened to the issues and development demands of public representatives and locals.

Among the issues raised during the event were completion of work on water supply scheme at Khrad, repair of local roads, meeting scarcity of water, construction of road from Sokar to BGSBU, renovation of school buildings, establishment of ration depot at Panihad, construction of road from KhalsaMandi to GuranPsari, meeting shortage of staff at PHC Panihad, JK Bank Branch at Panihad etc.

The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to  the issues and demands projected on the occasion and directed the officers to take immediate corrective measures to resolve the same.

Highlighting various Govt schemes and programs, he called upon stakeholder departments to synergise their efforts for achieving cent percent saturation of the Government schemes and effective delivery of Government services at the doorsteps of the general public.

The DC also asked the officers to maintain close coordination with PRI members to alleviate the sufferings of the people in a time bound manner.

Informing the public about the ambitious JalJeevan Mission, the DC assured that all the households in the district would be provided tap water connections with the implementation of the scheme.

Responding to the demand for renovation of old school buildings, he asked the concerned department to take effective measures to redress the issue at the earliest.

The officers of different Departments also educated the public about the welfare schemes and programs being implemented in the district and motivated them to avail the benefits of the same. They also responded to the queries raised by the public pertaining to their departments.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Pawan Kumar while speaking at the event asked the officers to put in extra efforts to provide prompt and hassle free services to the general public and also take effective measures to redress their genuine grievances in a timely manner.

He further instructed them to educate the people about different welfare programs and schemes that are being implemented in the district and make sure that the last beneficiary in the queue receives the benefits of these schemes.

Among the others present during the event were ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ADC Koreranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; CMO, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar; CEO Education, ShaileshKumari; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt; CAHO and other district and sectoral officers.
