DC presides over Block Diwas at Ramsoo; Distributes land passbooks

Says ‘PrashasanGaonkiAur campaign aims to provide hassle-free, improved public service to people’

Ramban :  District Administration, Ramban Wednesday organized weekly “Block Diwas” meetings in all designated blocks to reach out to the public at their doorsteps under ‘PrashasanGaonkiAur’ initiative of the J&K Government.

Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam, along with DDC Councillors, Bashir Naik, Fayaz Ahmed Naik,   ACR, Giasul-Haq, SDM, Ramsoo, ZaheerAbassBhat, ACD, Ashok Singh, CMO, Dr. Kamal Zadoo, CEO, Devanand, DSHO, DSWO, AD, Food,  ARTO and PRIs attended the “Block Diwas” meeting at Block Ramsoo.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the campaign ‘PrashasanGaonkiAur’- launched by the Government, aims to ensure prompt redress of public grievances and improve public service delivery. He said that the main aim of the campaign is to provide governance which is corruption free, transparent and in adherence to established rules and guidelines.

Reviewing the healthcare facilities available in Health Centres of the area, the DC directed the CMO to formulate proposals for installation of advanced medical equipment to strengthen the health infrastructure in the area.

Responding to the demand for up-gradation of Ramsoo High School, the DC directed the CEO to devise a feasibility report to recommend the same to higher authorities. He also advised the PRIs to pass a resolution in consultation with BDO and Animal Husbandry Department for opening a Veterinary Centre in Sub-division Ramsoo.

The CMO was asked to hold camps to provide age and other certificates to beneficiaries in a hassle-free manner, which will help to execute old age pension and other beneficiary orientated schemes.

The CEO was asked to take necessary action against attached employees of the department and seek a report from their DDOs in this regard.

He also sensitized the people about self-employment schemes including  PMEGP, TAJSAWANI, PM- SEHAT, e-SHRAM and encouraged the youth to take advantage of schemes being implemented by different departments under Mission Youth & KVIC.

The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the implementation of JalJeevan Mission scheme, status of storage of ration in advance in snow bound areas of the Sub- division Ramsoo and Banihal. He also inspected a ration depot at Makerkote in block Ukhral.

Responding to the issues highlighted by the PRIs and locals, the DC passed on-the-spot directions to concerned departments to resolve all their genuine issues on priority basis.  He also directed BDOs to ensure completion of all ongoing work.

Similar Block Diwas Meetings were also held at other designated locations in the district where the public highlighted their issues and demands.  The officers highlighted the steps taken by the District Administration to provide basic facilities and quality services under different sectors. They also informed about the pace of progress on various developmental projects being executed under various sectors.

The officers also asked the people to ensure judicious use of power supply in their areas to enjoy uninterrupted power supply during winter.
