Budgam : The District Administration Budgam on Wednesday held Block Diwas at Panchayat Halqa Rakhshalina in Block BK Pora of Budgam. The programme was chaired by ADDC Budgam, DrAkramullahTak at High School Rakshalina.

On the occasion, DDC Member BK Pora, Saima Jan, PRIs  and others respected from village Rakhshalina, Tengan, Summerbugh and other adjacent villages apprised the ADDC about their needs. After giving patient hearing to the public, the ADDC assured that all genuine demands shall be looked into on priority.

The ADDC said that Rs 23 lakh amount has been approved for desilting of irrigation canals and all efforts shall be made to ensure desilting of Padshahbagh canal.

He instructed CEO Budgam to check feasibility for upgradation of High School Rakhshalina to Higher Secondary level and ensure conduct of counselling sessions for students and other better education facilities to students.

He said that a patch of land be  identified for the construction of animal husbandry unit in the area.

He stressed on the speedy completion of ongoing developmental works in all panchayathalqas and instructed concerned to resolve all issues on priority basis, halting the work execution.

In order to ensure a smooth supply of water, ADDC instructed R&B authorities to take up development and macadamization works of roads and bridges for better connectivity to the general public.

He emphasized that works related to road development and improvement in education and health sectors be executed in a time bound manner for public convenience.

SDM Chadoora, Prince Noorul Hamid who also spoke on the occasion said appropriate steps shall be taken for correction of land records as demanded by locals.

BDO BK said that various developmental works including development of public parks and beautification works at designated spots shall be started on priority bases.   Meanwhile , various district officers spoke threadbare about their public welfare schemes on the occasion.

SDM Chadoora, CEO, CMO, CAHO, CAHO, DSHO, AD, Executive Engineer PDD, Irrigation, and other concerned officers and officials were also present on the occasion.
