Ganderbal : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir on Tuesday visited the site of Transit Camp Accommodation at Wandhama to have first-hand appraisal regarding the progress of works there.
The DC was briefed by all the concerned officers of various departments regarding the progress of works pertaining to their departments including electrification, Water supply and other additional works.
The DC directed all the concerned departments and implementing agencies including police and revenue to work in synergy and ensure installation of utilities at the locations to be decided in consultation with each other in a time-bound manner.
The R&B was directed to execute the works strictly as per the provisions of sanctioned DPR and ensure provision for car parking, pathways, lighting, proper drainage without compromising with quality and quantity parameters.
All the line departments were directed to ensure the completion of all the formalities for the activities proposed and expedite the work so that the prestigious project gets completed on time.
The DC exhorted the concerned departments to expedite the progress of work by engaging more men and machinery so that both the projects get completed within the stipulated time frame without compromising the quality of work.
Meanwhile, the DC visited the site of Wayilbridge and inspected the work progress on the bridge and also discussed the status of the approaching road.
During the visit, the DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mehraj-ud-Din Shah, CEO, TehsildarLar and other concerned officers from various departments.
