DC Doda interacts with Specially Abled persons

DM asks stakeholder Deptts to formulate   livelihood plan for all types of PwDs

Doda :  Deputy Commissioner Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan here on Tuesday interacted with Specially Abled persons here at Community hall Doda in an event organised by ‘Humanity Aid’ NGO.

More than 100 specially abled persons attended the program and gave their feedback on various government schemes being implemented for the welfare of Divyangs (Specially abled persons). They also projected their issues and demands before the DC.

Some issues like providing Wheelchairs, Hearing aids etc were immediately addressed by DC by giving directions to DSWO for issuing the same after receiving the required formalities from them.

He urged the educated and skilled PwDs to opt for self employment, avail the subsidised loans and expertise being provided by different departments.

He asked them to send their concerns and feedback to the district administration through public representatives, Field functionaries and helpline numbers, for immediate and timely response. He asked the NGO (Humanity Aid) to create their wattsapp groups and clubs where they can discuss their issues and grievances.

The DSWO was asked to establish fully equipped Physiotherapy Clinic under DDRC in the District.

The DC reiterated the Government directions to set up Ramps in all the government offices and directed the officers who don’t have Ramps established in their offices to come down or out of their offices to listen to the Divyangs.

While addressing their livelihood concerns, the DC asked RDD and SWD to see how MGNREGA can help them in getting rozgar in their respective areas.

The DSWO was asked to coordinate with Horticulture, Handloom, Handicrafts and Agriculture and come up with a feasible livelihood plan for all types of specially abled persons.

DC was accompanied by DIO DIPR DodaMohd Ashraf Wani, DSWO Doda Tariq Qazi and Chairman Humanity Aid NGO Er. Swarn Veer Singh.
