Doda : Meeting of District level Bio-Diversity Management Committee was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chairman District Development Council Doda, Dhanantar Singh Kotwal, here at Forest Information Center Bhaderwah.
The Committee members, vice Chairperson DDC SangeetaBhagat, Conservator Forest Chenab Circle, DrJatinder Singh; Secretary, DrSumitKotwal and DFO BhaderwahChanderShekar attended the meeting.
At the outset, DrSumit highlighted the salient features of the Biodiversity Act 2002 and also the functions of the District Level Biodiversity Management Committee.
The Chairman, while talking to the media, thanked the government for constituting District level Biodiversity Management Committee and stressed upon the protection and preservation of natural resources by the citizens
