SMVDU organises Expert Lecture by  Er. Shobit Kotru- MES-MOM-Industry 4.0 Senior Product Owner Boeing Co. India

Katra : Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, School of Mechanical Engineering organised an Expert Lecture by Er. ShobitKotroo, Industrial Expert &an Alumni of the School of Mechanical Engineering, SMVDU under the Alumni Affairs. The students of Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Electrical Engineering were present in large numbers. The event was coordinated by Dr. YatheshthAnand; Asst Prof., SoME, Ashish Suri; Asst Prof., SoECE and Dr. SanjeevAnand; Asst Prof., SoEM.

Shobhit is presently working with Boeing Co. India, as MES-MOM-Industry 4.0 Senior Product Owner and has a rich experience in the Innovation Development process and Technology readiness of the product to the market. He interacted with the students and shared his experience of the Industry and also motivated students to prepare for Industry 4.0. He said that Industry 4.0 conceptualizes the rapid change to technology, industries and societal patterns and processes in the 21st century due to increasing Interconnectivity and Smart Automation. He also shared his knowledge about MOM & PLM systems with the students and they had a healthy discussion about the future and benefits of Emerging Automation in Industries. Students cleared their common misconceptions about the skill required, placement opportunities and starting packages and got to learn about these required nowadays in Industries.

Shobit shared his experience while working for different organisations throughout his career till date and motivated the students to utilize their leisure time to get familiar with the latest technologies and terminologies required by the Industry.

Dr Eswarmoorthy Muthusamy, Head School of Mechanical Engineering and Dr Balbir Singh, Coordinator AET Club, SMVDU also graced the event with their presence and welcomed the guests. Overall the event ended on a positive note for all the attendants to stay up to date with the technology as there are limitless learning as well as earning opportunities in the world, & we just need the right mindset and skill set to grab it. The formal vote of thanks was given by Dr. Sanjeev Anand, Asstt. Prof.  School of Energy  Management.
