Doda :  The maiden programme under Pan District initiative, ‘Aap Ke Gaon Mein Aaap Ka Tehsildar’ held on Saturday received overwhelming response from the people across the district.

With the formal launch of this pan district initiative, the concerned Tehsildar will visit one village on every Saturday and provide all revenue related services both applied online and offline to the villagers at their doorsteps. He along with his team shall also impart awareness on various schemes of the government.

On the first day villagers on Saturday circulated numerous videos, audios, and text messages on the social media appreciating the efforts of district administration in bringing the services to the real, deserving at their doorsteps.

The whole programme is being monitored by ADCs and SDMs under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Paul Mahajan.

During the day long held in different Tehsils, the concerned Tehsildars attested mutations, conducted demarcations, disposed of petty revenue court cases, issued land passbooks, Category/ Caste/ Birth/ Death/ Other revenue certificates.

It is pertinent that the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has accorded top priority to provide different services to the citizens at their door steps.

The recently concluded Back to Village — 4 (B2V4), and second phase of My Town My Pride (MTMP) were chiefly organized to reach out to the public to saturate various schemes being implemented by the Government.

Almost all the revenue services are being provided through online mode and have been included under the Public Services Guarantee Act with the prescribed timeline within which the issuing authority is bound to act. The public has to be made aware of various initiatives of the Government like Apki Zameen Apki Nigrani, Land passbooks distribution, Jhan-Bhagidari, SVAMITVA and other programmes.

Moving a step further, District Administration Doda has launched a special initiative/programme “Ap Ke Gaon Mein Aap Ka Tehsildar”.

The initiative mandates the concerned Tehsildar to visit the pre-notified village on every Saturday to provide different services in presence of concerned VLEs/CSCs.
