Shopian : The District Magistrate (DM) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishyaon Wednesday chaired a meeting of KPDCL officers and Executive Magistrates at Mini Secretariat here to discuss the progress under the Amnesty scheme.
During the deliberations of the meeting, modalities were discussed for universal coverage of defaulter customers of power dues under the recently launched Amnesty scheme of the government.
DM on the occasion emphasised upon concerned to take immediate steps for coverage of maximum under the scheme.
He further directed officers to initiate action against willful defaulters along with disconnecting the illegal connections within a week’s time.
SDM, Executive Magistrates were further instructed to take strong action against the persons involved in power theft.
The meeting was attended by JDP, ACP, Ex. Engineer KPDCL, Tehsildars and other engineers of the department.
