Awareness Progon PMFME ODOP conducted at Chasana- Reasi

Reasi :  An awareness programme on ‘Prime Minister Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme ( PM FME Scheme)  for promotion of One District One Product’ was conducted here at Panchayat Ghar Chasana.  More than 50 farmers including unemployed youth participated in the Awareness programme.

Chief Agriculture Officer and District Nodal Officer PMFME, Harbans Singh inaugurated the awareness programme in presence of District Agriculture Officer Extension Rajesh Verma, Agriculture Extension officers Dara Singh, Sanjay Sharma and JAEO  KaranDev Singh & other officials of Agriculture Department & Sarpanches Shergarhi and Chasote.

The District nodal officer gave a detailed presentation on the scheme and enjoined upon the youth to set up micro food processing units of Mustard Chutney, Chilly powder packing & marketing, spices grinding, Garlic paste etc. The District Agriculture Officer elaborated the eligibility and terms of subsidy, interest and other related details of scheme.

District Resource Person, Layaqat Hadri explained the process of online application. Bank Manager JK Bank Chassana also addressed the farmers and elaborated the role of the Bank in implementation of the scheme by encouraging the youth of this inaccessible and far flung area of the District.

Officials from allied departments also participated in the programme. Vote of thanks was presented by Sarpanch Shergarhi Mohd Hanief.
