Kupwara : The District Administration Kupwara on Wednesday organised an impressive function at Town Hall Kupwara to commemorate Armed Forces Flag Day.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray presided over the function. Brigadier, TK Panth, CO 41 RR, Naval Gatti; Town Commander Lt. Col. Amit Manie; besides, Sanik Welfare Officer, Ex servicemen, Widows of veterans and other concerned were present on the occasion.
Addressing the function, the DC said that Armed Forces Flag Day is celebrated to extend our gratitude towards the supreme sacrifice of brave soldiers and pledge support for the welfare of our Brave-hearts and their families. He assured all possible support from the district administration for the welfare of the ex-servicemen and their wards.
Brigadier, CO and other speakers also spoke and highlighted the importance of Armed Forces Flag Day.
The Brigadier also highlighted various welfare schemes including health care and other initiatives of the Army for the welfare of the ex-servicemen, widows of veterans and their children.
Armed Forces Flag Day was also observed at various other locations of the district to commemorate the Sacrifices of our brave soldiers.
