Secy Health discusses Draft Plan of town with Line Deptts, councillors; inaugurates Waqf Parking Space, PARISHA Children Home

Kishtwar :  My Town My Pride edition two programme concluded successfully on Tuesday here in Kishtwar District.

During the two-day programme various activities were carried out by the district administration in collaboration with Municipal Council members Kishtwar and under the supervision of the Visiting Officer of MTMP-2 for Municipal Council Kishtwar, Secretary Health & Medical Education (H&ME),  Bhupinder Kumar.

A meeting of the all the Senior Officers, District Officers and the Municipal Councillors and concerned authorities was held Tuesday here at the Conference Hall DC Office Kishtwar under the chairmanship of Secretary H&ME wherein a detailed discussion on the draft Master plan of Kishtwar Town was held.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr DevanshYadav; ADC Inderjeet Singh Parihar; President Municipal Council Kishtwar, Sajjad Ahmed Najjar; PO ICDS, Dr Rishi Kumar; Joint Director Planning Mohammad Iqbal, ASP Rajinder Singh, ACR Varunjeet Singh Charak, ACD AtulDutt Sharma, DPO Sunil Bhutyal, TehsildarKishtwar Umar Muneeb, Executive Officer MC Tariq Balwan, all Councillors besides District Officers of Key line departments.

During the meeting, the Secretary was apprised about the core developmental issues of Kishtwar town with special focus on the drainage system, lightening of streets, development of Municipal infrastructure and other functionals, rationalisation of town plans, beautification of town, extension of Bus stand, implementation of Self Employment Schemes under Mission Youth, PMAY-U, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, NashaMukht Bharat Abhiyan and other welfare Schemes.

DC Kishtwar apprised the Secretary about various developmental initiative taken by district administration in collaboration with MC Kishtwar for accelerating the developmental tempo and service delivery in the Municipal limits.

In the meeting, the Bhupinder Kumar stressed the officers to work in coordination with the councillors and take locals on board while devising plans so that the tangible results  could be achieved.

He further suggested that Kishtwar MC must explore more options to enhance revenue generating sources for the Council and asked them to shift to online revenue collection mode.

Councillors of MC Kishtwar also highlighted their grievances before Secretary.

He assured them that their grievances have been recorded besides necessary directions have been forwarded to concerned officers for immediate resolution.

Later, Secretary also felicitated the PMAY-U beneficiaries under Best House Category and also distributed cards under Ayushman Bharat and e-Shram scheme among the Municipal residents.

The keys of the Commercial vehicles under Mumkin Scheme of Mission Youth were also distributed among the Youth beneficiaries of Municipal area.

Earlier, Bhupinder Kumar also conducted whirlwind tour of Municipal area and assessed the developmental scenario of the town.

The Waqf Parking Space and the PARISHA children house for girl child under Vatsalya scheme of Social Welfare Department was also inaugurated during MTMP-2 programme by the Bhupinder Kumar in presence of DC Kishtwar and other district officers.

During these two days, the Bhupinder Kumar ascertained the developmental need and aspirations of general public of MC Kishtwar.

Besides, all the line departments installed stalls to raise awareness about various welfare schemes for the people of Kishtwar Town. Various issues and grievances of people were recorded by Secretary for further submission to higher ups.
