MTMP 2.0 starts across all 3-MCs of Doda

VOs inspect stalls, Offices; Interact with ULBs, Students, field functionaries; Conduct open discussion on NashaMukt Bharat, other initiatives

Doda :  All the three towns of District Doda witnessed a gleeful day on Monday  as people participated in the ambitious My Town My Pride 2.0 programme with great interest and enthusiasm.

The  2-day programme is being conducted under the overall supervision of District Development Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan.

The DDC conducted an extensive tour of MC Doda and MC Bhaderwah to ensure that the ambitious MTMP initiatives harness a good omen for the public of the towns.

At MC Doda, the main function/ Mela is being organised  in the  local Community Hall.  The visiting officer Jahangir Hashmi inspected the stalls and interacted with the President Municipal Council and other councillors and discussed with them the issues and demands of the council to upgrade the socio- economic base of the  Doda township .

The function in Bhaderwah was held in the Community Hall where visiting officer Raj Kumar Katoch, member, J&K Special Tribunal Jammu Branch, inspected the stalls and conducted other scheduled activities.

The Thathri town witnessed a range of activities, while the Visiting Officer Dr Khalid Hussain Malik, Joint Director Employment Jammu, inspected stalls, met different people and inspected the government offices. A volleyball match was also held as part of the day-long activities.

Beautiful stalls of all the service delivery departments, set up in all the three MCs, were of special attraction for the public.

The Visiting officers inspected the stalls and the public got their issues settled on the spot at concerned departmental stalls. Forenoon session of day one started with interaction with ULB members, frontline government functionaries, social activists/NGOs, prominent citizens, etc.

An informal discussion with Members of ULBs and public on NashaMukhtAbhiyaan, Cleanliness Campaigns and other social and commercial issues gave visiting officers the idea of the aspirations and concerns of the town.

Cultural and sports activities were also organised during the first day in all three MCs.
