Party’s top leaders offer Fatiha, floral tributes at Party founder’s grave on his 117th birth anniversary

Srinagar,: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference on Monday unanimously re-elected Dr. Farooq Abdullah as the party president again in a delegate session held at the grave of party founder late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah at  Naseem Bagh, Hazratbal, Srinagar.

According to a statement issued from the party headquarters Dr. Farooq Abdullah was on Monday re-elected as the Party President at a delegate session at Dargah Hazratbal. Party delegates from the three provinces of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh unanimously nominated only one name – Dr Farooq Abdullah to continue as Party President. His nomination was attested by the Party Provincial Presidents Nasir AslamWani, Rattan Lal Gupta and Haji Qamar Ali Akhoon.

Earlier Dr. Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah led the party in offering floral tributes and Fatiha at the Mazar-e-Anwar of  late  Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah the party’s founder on his 117th birth anniversary.  The occasion was marked by participation of party delegates from across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh. The functionaries, who had thronged the venue, felicitated the party president. On the occasion the party delegates unanimously passed the political, economic resolution. A resolution on freedom of press was also passed. (Please find attached with this mail copies of the resolutions.). Scores of delegations from across Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh called on the party president at his Srinagar residence to felicitate him on being elected back to the coveted post.
