BGSBU organizes One-Day National Webinar on “Inculcating Managerial Skills in Engineering Graduates”

Srinagar : A national webinar on “Inculcating Managerial Skills in Engineering Graduates” was organized by the department of Electrical Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajourihere on Monday.

According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office BGSBU the Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. Akbar Masood applauded the department for organizing the webinar. Prof. Akbar Masood said successful engineering managers understand that they must take an integrated view of management in order to streamline operational activities, meet deliverables on time, and achieve organization goals.

Prof. IqbalParwez, Dean Academic Affairs congratulated the department for organizing the event. He said that such events should be organized on regular basis to inculcate managerial skills among engineering students and faculty members.

Dean SoET, Prof Asif Husain appreciated the department for organizing this event. He said inculcating managerial skills will enhance your professional credentials and immediately make you more attractive to potential employers.

Head, Electrical Engineering Dr. Shafqat Mughal provided the welcome address and introduced the guest speaker. In his address he briefed that companies and organizations are invested in hiring engineers who can integrate technical expertise, savvy business acumen, and effective interpersonal communication skills

DikshaMahajan (Sr. Assistant Professor, MIET Jammu) was the resource person of this webinar. In her presentation she highlighted that even though engineers play a critical role in business success and business products, the language of engineering doesn’t always translate well into the world of business without learning managerial skills.

In a concluding para of the statement, the faculty members, and Students from within and outside the university actively participated in the event. At the end vote of thanks was presented by Ms. AnkitaRunani (Assistant Professor, Dept. of Electrical).
