Jammu: Multifarious activities are being conducted by Jammu Municipal Corporation under the Jan Abhiyan Campaign.
JMC is conducting these activities in the run up to Second Phase of My Town My Pride.
In continuation of the series of activities, aNukkadNatak ‘Say no to plastic’ and a debate competition on NashaMukht JK was organised by JMC Friday in the Government Girls Polytechnic College, Jammu.
Commissioner JMC, Rahul Yadav; ACR JMC Manisha; Secretary JMC ParvinderKour; Principal of College ErNeelanjanaManwati, staff members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
The Commissioner JMC, while speaking on the occasion, stressed the need to restrict use of plastic for good with coordinated efforts. He also asked students to take part in constructive activities like sports and choose life not drugs.
Government has taken a slew of measures to fight the menace of plastic and drugs but the cooperation of society especially youth is a must to bring the change added Commissioner.
The Principal appreciated the efforts of JMC in creating awareness among students on the ever pressing topics and said our college will set an example in implementing say no to plastic in college campus.
