Amit holds Industry meet at Bari Brahmana as a prelude to MTMP 2.0

Jammu :  Secretary, Mining Department, Amit Sharma, on Saturday held an exclusive meeting with industry heads of one of the oldest and biggest Industrial Estates Bari Brahmana.

Pertinently, Amit Sharma has been appointed as the Visiting Officer to ensure smooth functioning of all departments under My Town My Pride (MTMP) 2.0 programme.

The meeting was attended by President, Bari Brahmana Municipal Committee, BhachanLal, Tehsildar, Bari BrahmanaDikshaBamba, General Manager, DIC Jammu, HR heads of top industrial units like Dabur, Uflex, EmcurePharma, Jai Beverages, Shivalaya Construction and others.

Secretary, while addressing industrial interaction meeting, elaborately explained about the main features of MTMP 2.0. He emphasized that Bari Brahmana possesses huge potential to become a model town of J&K wherein Industry can make a phenomenal contribution to take this town to new heights in terms of employment generation, CSR initiatives, civil action plan, etc. The major focus of this Industrial meet, a prelude to MTMP 2.0, was to channelize the energy and potential of unemployed youth by absorbing them in major industrial plants functional inside the Bari Brahmana Industrial Estate, he added. He said that this will also contribute phenomenally towards CSR activities in this town like maintenance of parks, green strips, orphan children education, provision of led lights and PTZ cameras in all 13 wards towards which there was a very positive response by all industrial units.

Amit Sharma discussed multiple issues and asked about the progress achieved in ongoingShehri Jan Abhiyan in which different departments have installed their respective stalls disseminating information apart from saturating targets set under various ongoing schemes. The officers assured that everything in MTMP 2.0 is going on smoothly in Bari Brahmana as per schedule and there shall be massive involvement of locals in the coming days.

Later, President Municipal Committee Bari Brahmana expressed deep gratitude to the Visiting Officer for organizing this Industrial interaction.
