Budgam : The Jammu and Kashmir police on Saturday arrested four persons and seized 04 vehicles involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said a police party of Police Station Beerwah raided a specific location and seized two tractors & arrested two persons on the spot. The arrested persons have been identified as Javed Ahmad son of Ghulam Muhammad of Zoogipora Khag and Firdous Ahmad Gazi son of Muhammad Fatah of Nursinghpora Khag. The statement reads similarly, a police party of Police Station Magam raided a specific location
and seized a JCB, Tipper and arrested 02 drivers on the spot.
The arrested have been identified as Abid Nabi son of Gh Nabi Bhat of Rathsuna Beerwah and Ajaz Ahmad son of Mohd Yosuf Sheikh of Sozeith. It reads cases under relevant sections of law have been registered at respective police stations and investigation was taken up. It added persons found indulging in illegal mining activities shall be dealt with as per law. Police also urged people to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with their concerned police units.
