Srinagar: Police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and also recovery of psychotropic substances from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a police party of Police Station Sopore during patrolling arrested a drug peddler identified as Abdul Qayoom Parray @Seeba S/o Nazir Ahmad R/o HygamS opore, Stating therein further that during searches 12 bottles of Codeine (OTODRIL) and 48 Capsules of Spasmoproxyvon Plus have been recovered from his possession.
Stating that a case vide FIR No. 266/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated,
Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood and reiterated its commitment that people found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
