Poonch: The security forces on Wednesday claimed to have busted a militant hideout in Nabna village of Poonch district.
An official said that a joint team of police and army busted the hideout and recovered arms and ammunition in Nabna village.
He said that recoveries include two AK rifles, a pistol, five grenades, sixty nine bullets and some empty magazines. The official added search in the area was still going on.
Meanwhile, as per a statement issued on Wednesday, based on intelligence inputs about the presence of a cache of warlike stores, an operation was launched by Army and JKP in the upper reaches of Village Nabana in Surankote, District Poonch.
During the search, a cache of war-like stores was recovered, the statement said, adding that the details of war like stores recovered during the search include two AK Rifles (one AK47, one AK56), seven AK Magazines, one Pistol with empty Magazine, five Chinese Grenades and 69 rounds of 7.62 mm. The statement said that the operation is still in progress
