DC Doda reviews Health care scenario in the Distt

Officers asked to set SOPs for available Ambulances; Rationalise doctors/ staff in the best interest of the patient

Doda :  To review the healthcare scenario of the District, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajanon Tuesday chaired a meeting of Health Department functionaries in his office chamber at DC Office Complex.

ADC Doda, ADC Bhaderwah, Principal GMC Doda, CMO Doda, MS Associated Hospital GMC Doda, Chief Accounts officer GMC Doda, Dy CMO, BMO Ghat, District Immunization Officer Doda, District Epidemiologist, DPM- NHM, representatives of SHA and other concerned functionaries were present in the meeting.

The DC took a detailed review of achievements under health sector schemes, functioning of health institutions including GMC Doda, infrastructure upgradation and the healthcare facilities being extended to the patients.

He also reviewed progress under Ayushman Bharat, PMJAY SEHAT, vacancy position of all categories, implementation of Bio Metric Attendance, Routine Immunization Programme.

DIO briefed the Chair about the block wise status and action taken by the department to cover all the children under Routine Immunization programme. It was informed that the district has achieved 77.9% Immunization.

The Deputy Commissioner enjoined upon the CMO and all the concerned to work in close coordination to make the Routine Immunization programme successful with 100% coverage in the District, before the winter snow fall this year. He asked to put in extra measures to ensure that no children in the district are left out in the process of routine immunization.

Delivery of quality healthcare to the last mile has been accorded top priority and the health department in the district has to ensure that anybody in need of medical services is catered to in time, the DC added.

While reviewing the GMC Doda, the DC asked the Principal and MS to ensure that referral to GMC Jammu is made only in extreme cases with reasons noted by not less than a consultant Doctor. He also directed to make arrangements in the GMC Doda in such a way that sufficient Doctors and staff remains present in the emergency.

DC also reviewed the status of Ambulances in the district and asked the authorities to make available ambulances to critical patients first and urged them to prepare an SOP for the available ambulance in the district.

While reviewing the availability of doctors and staff in SDHs and other health care institutions, the DC has issued direction to rationalise the doctors and staff in such a manner that PG Doctors appointed as MOs or otherwise be shifted to the place where his/ her specialisation can be utilised optimum.

The DC urged upon GMC Doda authorities and health functionaries to come up to the expectation of the patients and focus on quality assurance, accessible, affordable healthcare in the District.
