 My Town My Pride -2.0 : DC Kathua reviews preparations for “Jan Abhiyaan Shehri”, Calls for 100% saturation of deliverables

Kathua :  Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey on Monday convened a meeting of officers to assess the preparations with regard to observance of urban leg of Jan Abhiyan  (28 Nov-04 December) as preparatory phase for upcoming second phase of ‘My Town My Pride’ (MTMP) programme.

At the outset, the DC impressed upon the stakeholder departments to focus on saturation of deliverables identified by respective departmental heads by ensuring achievement of tangible deliverable during the Jan Abhiyan in the lead up to ‘My Town My Pride’ to be held across all six municipalities vizKathua, Lakhanpur, Parole, Basohli, Billawar and Hiranagar.

During the meeting department wise detailed deliberations were held where in DC called for devising a monitoring format to tabulate the status of deliverables achieved during the Abhiyan period.

It was given out in the meeting that departments to focus on assigned roles such as adoption of seven city plans, five cases to be sponsored in each ULB under Mumkin Scheme, saturation of PMJAY golden cards, sponsoring of Self Employment for five youths in each ward of ULB, Grihapravesh of PMAY (U) etc which is in consonance with the theme of governance at doorstep of the public.

The DC underscored the importance of working on the identified deliverables with an optimistic approach keeping in view sustainable and holistic development of the people of the district.

The DC further stressed upon giving wide publicity and carrying out intensive awareness campaigns by the concerned departments so that maximum number of people could benefit from the schemes.

The DC also directed the Departments to maintain close coordination with the municipalities to achieve the desired objectives of the programme. He also directed departments to install stalls in each municipality at designated locations.

Emphasizing on simultaneous saturation of deliverables identified for B2V4 and MTMP during Jan Abhiyan, the DC called for exploiting this opportunity to cover all the eligible beneficiaries under different schemes during this week long pre-MTMP 2.0 programme.

The meeting was attended by CPO Kathua, CMO, CEO, EOs and other district and sectoral officers of various departments.
