Srinagar : Police on Monday have claimed to have arrested a lady drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from her possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar here Police said that a police party of PS Handwara arrested a lady drug peddler near ITI Gonipora and during searches recovered around 6 grams of Brown Sugar from her possession, Stating therein further that the said drug peddler has been identified as Haseena Begum W/oMushtaq Ahmad WaniR/o Gonipora Handwara.
Stating that a case vide FIR No. 300/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at PS Handwara and investigation has been also initiated to ascertain the facts on ground, Police in the concluding para of the above quoted statement appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighborhood and reiterated it’s resolve that persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
