DC Jmu reviews preparations for “My Town My Pride”

DM asks Deptts to play proactive role to achieve better results

Jammu :  Deputy Commissioner Jammu Avny Lavasa on Monday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss the plan for smooth conduct of My Town My Pride programme.

Commissioner JMC, Rahul Yadav; ADC L&O, Harvinder Singh; ADC ADM SandeepSeonetra; CPO, YoginderKatoch; CEO, Suraj Singh along with other senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.

The meeting discussed various aspects of the programme threadbare and the Deputy Commissioner received feedback from the officers.

The DC asked officers to complete all preparation well in time and be prepared so that the ambitious programme My Town My Pride could be held in the best possible way. She asked the concerned officials to play a proactive role and ensure preparations beforehand and work in tandem with other departments so that better results yield on the ground.

The Deputy Commissioner said that the essence of the My Town My Pride programme was to strengthen a feeling of connection between the Government and the people with the participation of ULBs.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the officers to gear up their manpower for successful conduct of the My Town My Pride programme.

Pertinent to mention that second phase of My Town My Pride will be held on December 5 and 6 while as preparatory phase-Jan Abhiyan with focus on youth, skills, self-employment, good governance along with NashaMukt and RozgarYukt J&K will be observed from November 28 to December 4.
