Poonch : A one day Farmers’ awareness camp under PM Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises Scheme (PM FME) was organized Saturday in Block Mankote.
The camp was organized by Department of Agriculture Sub Division Mendhar and more than 80 numbers of farmers attended the camp, while a group of 5 farmers were identified for setting up their units.
Officers from different allied Departments like Marketing Inspector Horticulture Marketing, Department, Sr.Techician from Horticulture, Manager Jammu Kashmir Grameen Bank Mankote, SMS Agri.AEO Mankote also participated.
Speaking on the occasion, the SDAO Mendhar, Harvinder Singh said that unemployed youth can setup their own Food Processing Units, like oil extraction bottling unit, Bread making unit, Tomato ketchup unit, Flour Mill along with poultry and Cattle feed unit, under PMFME scheme by availing facilities like 35% subsidy maximum u pto 10 lakh and Easy Bank loan up to 90% of cost of Machinery and Technical Civil Works.
The PMFME scheme has provision of convergence with AIF which have 3% interest subvention and credit guarantee under CGTMSE Scheme for Loan up to Rs 2 crore.
