DDC Shopian reviews arrangements for smooth conduct of “My Town My Pride” prog

Shopian  : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Saturday convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements for smooth conduct of ‘My Town My Pride’ programme being held to listen and address the issues of people in urban areas.

The DDC informed that ‘My Town My Pride’ programme shall be held at Shopian town. He asked all the concerned officers to work in tandem and coordination so that people of the town get benefitted of the new initiative of the Government, envisaged to provide better service delivery and governance at the doorsteps of the people living in towns.

Vaishya also laid emphasis on instilling a sense of confidence in the citizenry and ensured traction for the initiative among the masses.

He stressed upon evolving co-ordination with all the stakeholders viz. elected public representatives of ULBs for making the programme successful.

He also directed the line departments to put up stalls at the venues.

The Executive Officer and Secretary, Nodal Officer of MC Shopian briefed the DC about arrangements for the programme.

Among others, the meeting was attended by President MC Shopian, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joint Director Planning, besides the entire district/sectoral officers and other concerned.
