Shopian : A Surveillance team of District Public Lab of DH Shopian, under the supervision of Chief Medical officer Shopian, DrArshidHussainTakon Friday inspected various Private Labs of the town Shopian and took samples for testing.
The team was headed by Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Shopian, Dr Khalid Abas.
The team emphasised upon Lab Operators to ensure best testing practices and keep their Labs neat and clean and also adopt all SOPS in letter and spirit to avoid any kind of infection.
The Medical Superintendent said that District Health Lab Shopian has started functioning recently and added, all kinds of tests shall be done in a scientific way. The people of the district, he said have no need to go for tests out of the district now.
CMO and MS praised the efforts of Deputy Commissioner Shopian regarding the timely operation of District Health Lab.
The health functionaries during inspection to labs also guided operators of these labs to ensure strict adherence of SoPs.
