Govt College for Women organises “Name Your Eco-club” contest

Jammu: “Name Your Eco-club” competition was on Wednesdayorganised by the Eco-club of PG College for Women to spread awareness among the students and further boost the activities of the Eco-club.

A total of 13 students participated in the competition conducted in the Department of Botany.

The Jury members for competition were Prof. Mala Bhasin, Dr. Vijender Kumar and Dr. Bhagwati Devi.   Savi, ManasveeChoudhary and Vanshika students bagged 1st three positions, respectively. The jury recommended the name “Harshyaali” for the Eco-club of the College

Principal of the College, Prof. MinuMahajan, applauded the Ecoclub for conducting such awareness activities. She congratulated the winners and encouraged the students to inculcate eco-friendly behavior in their day to day routine. The activity was well coordinated by Dr. HarjeetSodhi (Convener, Eco-club) and other members including Dr. Rahul Sharma, Prof. Nisha Bhagat, Prof. ShivaniSawhney, Prof. EishaGohil, Dr. SurajMohani, Prof. Sugandha Mahajan, Prof. Swarn Singh and Dr. Ravinder Kumar
