Srinagar :  The Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad on Tuesday chaired a meeting of concerned Officers here at Conference Hall of the DC Office to review the Block wise progress of various ongoing works taken up under Rural Development Department(RDD) sector under annual kor Ahmad Mir, the meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Executive Engineer RDD, Chief Sanitation Officer, SMC, TehsildarChannapora, TehsildarPanthachowk, Block Development Officers of Srinagar &Harwan, District Officer JAKEDA and other concerned.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review about Physical and Financial Status of Ongoing works targeted in District Capex 2022-23 & Works taken up under Area Development Funds Scheme including DDC, PRI & BDC, MGNREGA, Status of Geo-Tagging, Progress on NRM/Water Related/All Plantation Works, Cluster Tribal Model Village.

The DC also took stock of PMAY-G, Catch the Rain, Encroachments removed from water bodies, Desilting/cleaning of water bodies, Aspirational Development Block Programme, Block wise Physical/Financial progress under 14th FC and SBM-G.

The DC was informed that as many as 404 major works were taken up in RDD sector under different components in Srinagar District and administrative approval stands accorded out of which 389 works have been allotted after completing tendering process. As of now 314 works were taken up out of which 271 works have been completed at a cost of Rs 3.50 crore.

While reviewing MGNREGA Labour Budget Performance, the DC was apprised that about 27000 person days were generated in all 4 Panchayat Block of the District so far with expenditure of Rs 2.8 crore. Similarly under Tribal Model Village 8 works were taken up out of which 4 works stands completed. With regard to Aspirational Block, out of 6 works approved including construction of 2 Nutrition cum Healthcare centre and 4 foot bridges 5 works have been completed so far.

On the occasion, the DC directed the Officers to prioritize implementation of all Government sponsored developmental schemes so that targets are achieved in time with tangible results on the ground. He asked all the BDOs of the District to work with added zeal in proper coordination with other line Departments to ensure all works are physically completed in set timelines.

Stressing the concerned officers to give focused attention towards door to door garbage collection under SBM-G, the DC asked the RDD officer to roll out the scheme by putting in best efforts and with active participation of local PRIs and people to achieve desired results on ground.

With regard to digital mapping of Assets in all Panchayts, the DC asked the Officers to complete the target by or before 5th of December, 2022 with the support of local GRS as per laid guidelines.

The DC also asked the BDOs to ensure all works bills are timely submitted to concerned treasuries for on time payments.

The DC also asked the ADDC to monitor the implementation of all works under the RDD sector and hold periodical review meetings to ensure timely completion of all the works with judicious utilization of funds and quality of works.

The DC directed the BDOs to take up works under NRM adhere to set timelines set for each work keeping in view the limited working season.
