Udhampur : Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsnaon Monday chaired the District Task Force meeting comprising officers of different departments to review the progress towards Measles-Rubella Elimination in the district.
Detailed discussions were held on different aspects related to implementation of the road map formulated by the Government for Measles, Rubella Elimination from the country by 2023. The Health Department was directed to take all possible measures and give focused attention towards the Measles, Rubella Elimination in the District.
She stressed on active participation of educational institutions in spreading awareness and sensitizing students about the infection of Measles and Rubella. The DC asked the concerned officers to identify the target groups, conduct surveys and prepare separate plans for vulnerable groups.
The CMO was asked to come up with a detailed IEC plan to make the public aware of symptoms.
The concerned officers were directed to start the IEC campaign at Village level so that no one was left behind.
The DC further directed the concerned officers to start the process of vaccination at grassroots level.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Chief Medical Officer, Dr Vijay Basnotra, DIO Rajinder Digra , CEO, Arvin Koul, CDPO and other officers of various departments attended the meeting.
